A week rest

One tiresome week had passed and this week, I really take my time resting. :-)

That was happened when you combined all the quizzes, assignments submissions, and the presentations towards the week 13 and 14. A bit of regret on my own time management as well. :-)

Right now, I just ready for the oncoming final exam.

I did think that being a student is tiresome and boring.

But, personally, I have much more prefer to stick on the notion that working people life are much more tiresome than a student life like me.

Anyone agree or object with me? :-)
 

Awok nie orang mane ye?

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh...

Just pop up to my mind after this incident..

I went to my regular local stall that serves dishes for lunch. The foods are nice and quite suit my taste. Just after finish packing up my lunch for takeaway, (tapau), the owner or I just call her as mok cik, asked me:

Mok cik: Eh, awok nie orang mane ye? Johor ke Teganu?

Me: Eh, saye nie orang Johor, mok cik. Bakpenye?

Mok cik: Mok awok hok datang dulu sihat? Lama dop nampok..

Me: Sihat jer.. (Smiling)

On the second thought, I realized that how long I have been going to this stall. Since from my Diploma, then having lunch there during my Diploma convocation with my family and up until now, my Degree years. Then, it come across to my mind, it's been more than 5 years I studied in Terengganu. 

Whoa! Haha. No wonder that mok cik still remembers me!

Fact 1:  I manage to blend in the Terengganu as I catch up its dialect, its culture and its weather. 

Fact 2 : My juniors thought that I come from Terengganu.   

Fact 3:  Kopok lekor, kopok losong, kopok keping, budu and nasik kerabu are familair words to my ears 

              tongue and stomach.

Yup, as usual, with assignments.. hehe

So, I take a pit stop by watching my junior's literature drama session to rest my head.. :-)

Today is 21st day of Ramadhan and lagu raya always can be heard anywhere..

People started to accelerate the preparation for Hari Raya..

In this kind of atmosphere,

One thing that come across my mind, 

which is the way we wish Hari Raya to far away friends and families..

In this modern age, SMS, MMS, E-MAIL, SKYPE, WEBCAM.,

are the new ways to celebrate and wish to others.

But me, my personal opinion,

Hari Raya cards are still relevant..:-)

To me, these cards have more sentimental value..

plus when we write our own wish inside that card..

and the excitement of handing it to post office to be post..

Hehe, maybe some of you guys will think that I'm old-fashioned..

Everyone have their own ways of wishing Hari Raya. :-)

My deepest apology for being silent such a long time, especially to Mr Clive.. 

I'm so sorry, bro..

As I've mentioned, I'm doing my internship right now.

Alhamdulillah, I feel comfortable here. :-)

First one, the place, I would say quite conducive.. 

Secondly, the people and the staffs there are friendly and very warm welcoming me..

Thirdly, my tasks here are quite awesome and sometimes I need to join events that organized by TM Johor.. :-)

 Oh, by the way, I were assigned to PR and Business Support Department.

Basically, I were exposed to bits of how Public Relation personnel do. 

Even though majority of staffs here are much much older than me, 

but they easy to mingle around, having a good chit chat during breakfast,

Joking inside the pantry when everyone..

No one will backstabbing you..

Any works you were asked to do, it has something to you can ponder and learn..

Example: if you were asked to xerox a document, don't just go on xerox it bluntly. 

Do try to read it or just understand the formats inside it..

then you can learn something new. :-)

I will try my best and enjoy my internship as I learn new things..

Each and everyone of us do have different perspectives. It reflects how we perceive our surroundings.
Anyone disagree with me? :-)

When we view anything in our life, sometimes it is necessary for us to view the matter from different angle and point of view. Then, we gather all the analysis and combined them. The outcome might be more accurate. :-)  Like the 6 blind person up there try to imagine what an elephant look alike. If they combined all their description, the actual description will be more to realistic.

Yup, my batch was involved in a campaign.Yes, this is an assignment.  There were 11 groups with each their own topics. So, the task is we need to prepare our booth with the campaign that we have been given earlier. 

There were No.BPA campaign, Stop Bully Campaign, Stop Snatch Theft Campaign, No Anemia Campaign and may more. My group, is Save Jawi Campaign, more specifically, Jawi: The Forgotten Heritage. Each group was evaluated by 3 individual lecturers.

First Annual Dinner

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh....

I hope all of you guys are in good shape. :-)

Last 11th May 2012, our course, Bachelor in English had our first annual dinner. This dinner was held at Sutra Beach Resort. The theme was Masquerade and of course that night everyone was at their best attire. Me? Just a simple dressing. :-)

The dinner was to appreciate and celebrate the seniors which is the first batch from our course. Overall, the dinner went smoothly and a big applause to the organizing committee which is BEN Semester 4.

Among the male seniors, I can die laughing from their jokes..

We, the juniors, from semester 2, semester 4 and semester 6,  wishing you guys a very marvelous days ahead and have a very wonderful life! :-)

Self reflection..2

Alhamdulillah, I'm getting better. :-) Not fatter eh..:-P

I hope my respected visitors are also in a good shape. 

Based from the topic, yeah, it is about self reflection.

Literally,it is not mean to see your own reflection. Hehe.

But it is more to reflect your inner selves. 

It is about you evaluate your attitude, behaviour, achievements

Do we ever ask ourselves (being monologue of course) 

Questions like..

Did I change to a better person?

Did I break somebody heart's today?

Am I a different person compared to the previous year?

Oh yeah, in Malay it is known as 'muhasabah diri'

Now we get the clear picture. :-) 

Seeing people around me making changes

I smiled.

I do want to change, change towards positiveness.

Slow and steady.

A Patience day..

Wake up in the morning and found out your left eye swollen in pain wasn't a good one. 

Next, you have this cold mucus running down your nose in the middle of the class, not encouraging also.

Few minutes after that, when the computer you used suddenly 'Plugin failed' and all your works gone..  haish..

When you go to health center and a sign says 'Tutup, Rehat Sebentar' also a bit of challenging.

BUT, One Malay word I tried to engrave into my heart..

My Generasi

I want to share with you guys a video, entitled 'My Generasi'  This video is a creation of Jin Lim, 27, and Reuben Kang, 25, the co-directors and co-producers of the JinnyboyTv clip My.

This video clip is quite nostalgic as it brought us down to memory lane about our childhood was spent in primary schools where the gadgets and all electronic stuffs are less those days.

The scenes, size matters, 'ketul-ketampi atas kerusi' and 'batu seremban' are among the most common activity of school children back then. Not to mention, pupils try to show who's better by showing off bags and colour pencils. 

I will never forget the mechanical pencils back then..heee

A kind of machine game..

Last few days, I accompanied miss A and her best friend went out for spesific purpose. Then they want to buy something and we went straight to Giant Hypermarket. While they were busy shopping, I went upstairs and found this section. It like been ages the last time I went in. I went in and buy coins. I browse through a row of machines and I selected one. I put the coin in the slot and there goes the magic...

What a rush! :-)

A Triangle and An Eye..

Before you guys read this post, a bit of  serious thinking is required. 

I'm back at home now, mid semester holiday. As usual, I like to watch cartoon and among my favourite channel is cartoon network. Then, there was a cartoon, Tom and Jerry. But this time, these two are in movies. So, just imagine a continuous wacky and crazy stunts by these two natural enemy. The movie entitled: Tom and Jerry: Fast and Furry. 

The story is quite amusing to me as I'm a fan of Tom and Jerry. There was a scene when a CEO of broadcasting company in Hollywood questioning his advisor's suggestion. The CEO argued that Tom and Jerry is an animal and they are not qualified to enter the race. 

Then suddenly a flash of light appeared in the office. Immediately the CEO ushered his advisor to wear a cap shaped a pyramid combined with an eye on top of it. His advisor a bit clueless,   questioning his sudden action. The CEO scolded him saying that 'The great president of Hollywood had arrived and he controls everything here!'. 

Then, almost black satanic figure appeared and both of them kneel before it while the CEO chanted 'Oh, great leader of Hollywood.' Next, the figure reshaped immediately into a white old man dressing in Egyptian Kings completed with Egyptian-dressed women at  his side.

Still does not get the message? :-)

A bit shock..

Today, two times my family encountered it...
First, at 4:30 p.m, when I coming back outing with my dad, my mom and my younger brother were already downstairs, they were a bit trembling..
Second, at 6:30p.m, after I went out to pasar malam with my younger brother. Both my parents felt it..

Alhamdulillah, everyone is fine.. I hope Aceh's people tough and patient.. Ya ALLAH, please give them strength..

Photography Lesson

How are you guys? I hope all of us in tip top condition. :-)

Recently, I have this subject Multimedia English. One of the sub topics is photography session. Seriously, I'm no good photographer.  But I'm interested to learn the skills. Most of the photo skills are possible with a DSLR camera.. We were divided into small group and need to do some photo hunting. Luckily, one of my group member has this type of camera. Me? I just borrowed someone's digital camera. :-)

Basically, there are seven types of photography themes that I've been exposed. They are source of lighting, flora fauna, silhoutte, bokeh, campus facility, rule of one third and  natural framing.

Sophisticated music gadgets..

How are you guys out there? :-)

It's been a while since my last entry. Normally, I'm not this lazy and busy to update my blog. 

Alhamdulillah, I did have a good rest. (A good one until the recent incident of overslept causing me to be late for the class. Heehe.)

After having the Multimedia English class just now, I wondered and remembered the years before the existence of MP3 player, Ipod and so many sophisticated music gadgets. 

Those who were born in the 1980's like me surely familiar with these three words, radio, cassettes and walkman (the portable radio and cassette player, I called it by this name, don't know about you guys.)

These three things are hot in the market in those days. I have my own transistor radio, my own so called walkman and a few cassettes collections back then. Don't ask me where are they now. :-) All of them were lost and dying through time..

Years by years, we can see new things coming up. Even the new car models nowadays would use USB plug in and Compact Dics (CD) rather than cassettes. Even nowadays in pasar malam, I seldom see peoples selling cassettes like the one we have in 1990's. Please prove me if I'm wrong. :-)

Well, enough with the blabbering, Shafiq. :-)

 I really hope that our past will be remembered and appreciated as well as we grasp the the future.
